Shin-Line and Japanese Giant Lotte Co., Ltd. Announce Strategic Partnership
Kazakhstan’s largest ice cream producer, Shin-Line, and Lotte Co., Ltd. (Japan), one of the leading companies in Japan’s food industry, have signed an agreement to launch large-scale, long-term and strategic cooperation. The partnership will combine the production capabilities of the Kazakhstani leader with advanced technologies from the Japanese food industry.
At the initial stage, the parties will organize regular supplies of original Lotte ice cream products directly from Japan to the Kazakhstan market. This will give Kazakhstani consumers an opportunity to discover unique product formats, distinctive flavor combinations and technological standards developed by the Japanese food industry.
As part of the partnership, Shin-Line will study Lotte’s best practices in new product development (R&D), the implementation of Japanese quality standards, production process optimization and the modern organization of food manufacturing.
As the next step, the parties are considering the possibility of launching local production of selected Lotte ice cream categories using original Japanese technologies at Shin-Line’s production complex in Kazakhstan. The specific project parameters, product portfolio and launch schedule will be determined following a detailed technical and economic feasibility assessment.
For Shin-Line, cooperation with one of the key players in the Japanese market represents an important milestone in the company’s international technological cooperation. The introduction of Japanese innovations will enable the company to strengthen its technological leadership in the region and expand its portfolio of high-quality products.
For Lotte Co., Ltd., the Kazakhstan market represents a promising platform for expanding its presence in Central Asia. An alliance with a leading local producer provides a solid foundation for exploring the market and pursuing the long-term development of the brand in the region.
